EDUCATION

Project Hope aims to provide age-appropriate, engaging educational content for mentors and mentees to learn more about organ donation and transplantation. The main goal of the educational materials at Project Hope is to empower participants with foundational knowledge about their health and their transplanted organ(s). The education department is responsible for translating peer-reviewed scientific information on organ donation and transplantation into patient-friendly, interactive activities for pediatric and AYA Project Hope participants.


CURRENT INITIATIVES

Developing and formatting educational modules for the peer mentorship chapter at MedStar Georgetown’s Transplant Institute

Creating and launching mentor and mentee educational resources:

  • Designing Clinic Crash Course sets

  • Developing Transplant Journals

  • Publishing a regular group newsletter


VOLUNTEER WITH US

We are seeking volunteers to help create and design educational materials aligned with Project Hope’s branding. We also welcome creative ideas for incorporating education into interactive formats such as games, journal prompts, comics, and other engaging tools.
