Project Hope April Newsletter

A Month For Musical Theater!

In April, two of our associated members will be appearing in musical theater productions. One will be appearing as an actor while the other will be directing 1776, a production celebrating the 250th anniversary of America. We hope that everyone will be able to find some time this busy April to seek out a bit of fun, hopefully visiting a local theater of their own!

April is National Donate Life Month—a time when we come together to honor the gift of life, the generosity of donors, and the strength of those whose lives have been forever changed by transplantation.

This month holds especially deep meaning for us in the transplant community. It’s a time to reflect on our journeys, to honor the donors and families whose selfless decisions made life possible, and to recognize the courage it takes to keep showing up every day after transplant.

It’s also a time to raise awareness. One registered donor can save multiple lives and impact countless others. That one decision can create a ripple effect of hope, healing, and second chances.

To the young people and families in our community: your story matters. Whether you are a recipient, a parent, a donor, or a supporter—your experiences, your strength, and your voice have the power to inspire others. Sharing your story, when you feel ready, can help others learn, register, and choose to give the gift of life.

Everyone’s journey looks different, and it’s okay if it takes time to talk about it. What matters most is that you continue to move forward in your own way, carrying your story with strength and hope.

This April, we honor where we’ve been, recognize how far we’ve come, and continue to spread awareness. Lets make the month of April a great month and celebrate the gift of life each and every day and know that your journey matters!
